Gifts of Easter

This Easter season has been very special for us. We have had the opportunity to "Practice The Presence of God" during the last 40 days before Easter. This has allowed me to focus on what God is doing around us and to see His gifts to us this season.

Here are just some of the gifts:

GIFT OF LIFE

brian-beth

My daughter, Taylor, has reminded me of the gift of life through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

GIFT OF LOVE

God has given me the gift of love through my wife, Beth. Not only is she beautiful, but my love for her and her love for me has been the closest experience I have had of unconditional love (apart from the love of God Himself).

GIFT OF FAMILY

I am thankful for the gift of family with which God has blessed me.

Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one's youth. - Psalm 127:3,4

I am also VERY thankful for the rest of my family. My brother for one, recently encouraged me in a VERY SPECIAL way:

When Brian first told me about his plans to join GNI , I had mixed thoughts, probably the biggest of which was, "what do you mean you're not going to work any more?" and "here's another one headed for the dole." After mulling it over for a couple months, I've come 180 degrees to a completely different conclusion. "I envy the confidence and trust he has in his Faith!"

Thank you Chris!

GIFT OF FRIENDSHIP & FELLOWSHIP

The Lord has blessed us with the gift of friendship & fellowship with a local body of believers at The Bridge Church in Redmond, OR.

And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. - Hebrews 10:24,25

GIFT OF PRAYER

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. - 1 Thes 5:16-18

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. - Phil 4:6
